So I have been running my blog for more than year on a server I have in my basement. It was somewhat unreliable until I bought a simple UPS. Since then (about 3 months ago) it has been consitently available and useable. However for some reason in the last few days, it has gone offline 3 times since Sunday. It just drops off the network. Since I am running it without a monitor I can’t quite figure out what is going on….time to dig in to the system logs.
I really like the home hosted solution, but if I can’t get it to me a bit more reliable, I may switch over to posting more here.
